Ashley Davis Bush, LICSW is a licensed psychotherapist in southern New Hampshire, specializing in EMDR therapy, couples therapy, and grief counseling.  She is the author of six self-help books: Simple Self Care for Therapists (2015), Hope and Healing for Grievers  (In Press), 75 Habits for a Happy Marriage (2013), Shortcuts to Inner Peace (2011), Claim Your Inner Grown-up (2001) and Transcending Loss (1997).

Albert Einstein wrote:  “There are two ways to live:  you can live as if nothing is a miracle, or you can live as if everything is a miracle.”  Ashley believes that all of life is miraculous, and that all life’s experiences have the potential to help us live more meaningfully.

Ashley felt a calling early on in her life to help people live richer, deeper, more fulfilled lives.  Her work for the past 25 years –both as a therapist and as a writer – is designed to inspire others toward whole-hearted living.  Ashley shares her thoughts regularly in her newsletter, StillWaters:  tools and resources for living deeply.

Ashley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Smith College and a Masters in Social Work degree from Columbia University.  She has a certificate in Contemplative Studies through Smith College School for Social Work, has advanced training in Emotional Focused Therapy for Couples (EFT), and is EMDR trained.  Ashley worked in community mental health in New York City for ten years and has been living and working in southern New Hampshire since 1997.

Ashley is a frequent public speaker and workshop teacher.  Since 1992, she has delivered keynote speeches to professional and community organizations across the country and has taught workshops on the subjects of grief and loss, relationships, parenting, personal empowerment, mindfulness, transitions, stress management and inner peace.
